how can I paint a keyboard black?
I have a white keyboard I really like but it doesn't match my PC, mouse, monitor which are black, silver or both. Are there any tricks to doing this?

The best answer to your question is to spray paint it. There are several different companies that offer a plastic compatible spray paint. The most common is Krylon. http://www.krylon.com/ This is product is available at most home improvement warehouse, as well as you local X-mart for around $2-$3 per can. One can should be sufficient to complete the job.

On the other hand, you can purchase a black keyboard for as little as $6.00 on line. http://www.directron.com/kb0108.html

It doesn't really seem economical to paint your keyboard giving the purchase cost.

Just remember, if you do paint it....you run the risk damaging the electronics and general integrity of the keyboard. You should just break down and by a new one.

purchase, a clean Black Key Board. or test ur Keyboard. Open with MS PAint Appliction. Appply the Black colour. Atleast bypass away characeterrs in White colour, so as that u can perceive that that's ur own keyboard.

Why make a big problem out of this.

Sure you can spray paint it but unless you remove or cover the keys
you won't see he letters & with the use a key board gets the paint will wear off quickly.

Just go out & buy a new key board.

you can paint it easily, the problem lies in the actual keys - unless you've mastered QWERTY. good luck. i agree with the rest - go buy a new one.

BTW, does anyone know how to paint a piano keyboard black?

It will not work properly if you paint it.
Decorate it with some simple black and white stickers...
perhaps photo scrapbook stickers of words!

Just buy a new one. You may mess up your key board. It may not look original. Check the Sunday paper to get a deal.
