When Cingular sent me a letter over 5 months ago telling me to go into one of their retail stores to get the new sim card so that I would have fewer dropped cards I knew something was up. I do not have a plan contract with them now and pay the same I did three years ago. After the 4th or 5th letter from them over the summer I received a new sim card in the mail and was told to immediately install it in my phone. I didn't do it! Weeks back, I went into one of their stores and the guy who was in there told me NOT to install it because it would not work. I would have to buy a new high tech phone or take one free one from them but THEN have to sign another contract for two years.
Also, this nice guy told me that I would have to pay for this new 64mb card whether I used it or not. I have never had dropped calls before and I do not intend on installing this new card. I don't have money to buy a new phone and I do not want to sign a two year contract either. Feedback from anyone please?
