Minesweeper. Use the original version that comes with Windows. Play at the intermediate level with the middle sized board.

When I first started playing, my time to finish was around 200 seconds. In a week, I'd cut that in half. Two weeks after that, I did so again. By the time I stopped playing, my best time was 45 seconds.

I saw an advertisement a couple of months ago about a game called Brain Age I believe, it is for the new handheld nintendo system. I think it is made to do just what you are asking

Brain Age on Nintendo DS. I highly recommend it. I've been using it for three months and I definitely see a difference on how fast it takes me to process information
