Is there EVER a good reason to have plastic surgery?

What if you are slightly deformed?

I should clarify that I was granted my surgery to be paid for by insurance...... and then they pulled it back just days before my surgery. So I had it anway and appealed it with my surgeon and they said it was cosmetic. I had a hanging, sagging C cup breast with a huge nipple. And the other was not even an A with no breast tissue.

So I have to ask - whose definition of cosmetic versus necessary???

If you are deformed to the extent that it is effecting your life, then yes, plastic surgery would be okay.
If you are wanting to have plastic surgery just because of being vane, then that is not a good reason.
Your self esteem is what is most important, and if you are deformed in some way and plastic surgery can change that for you - then I say go for it.

I think plastic surgery is ok if a person is deformed or if there is a medical reason behind it. I think your decision to have plastic surgery falls into the slightly deformed category and is understandable.

Plastic surgery is only good for what is necessary not for vanity.

Good reasons are injuries sustained during accidents and tragedies.

Another good reason is many cosmetic surgeries get botched and women have to spend thousands to fix mistakes made by surgeons.

Plastic surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

I guess it's ok if you are slightly deformed but most people have plastic surgery because they are not happy about what they have and look like which is VERY ridiculous to me.

there are 2 types of plastic surgery - constructive and aesthetic..
the first one is for those people who had an accident or have physical deformities so they need constructive surgery. the aesthetic are for those people who are so vain that they want to look more beautiful and are not satisfied with what God has given to them..
