My perspective on life changed on May three, 2006.
is that right? or should i put May 3,2006

Usually the day and year are in Arabic numerals and the month either a spelled out abbreviated or in numerals also.

30 years in a military organization left me using "03 May, 2006"

It should be May 3. You could also say "the third of May, 2006."

May 3, 2006 is the correct way to write the date. You may also write, "On the third of May, 2006....".

You want to put it as May 3, 2006 or May 3rd, 2006. May three would be incorrect. Three and third are two very different words.

I would opt for May 3, 2003.
