Question 1

Ukraine
8/10, they do have great players like zlatan, and many more, and if they strenghten their defensive line up, then they can compete england and other countries, except for portugal!

Switzerland
6/10, their attacking line up is good, but their midfield and defence is a flop, they have a good goalie

Germany
9/10, with new talents like podolski, they are really a strong team, but they need to strenghten at the back. They need someone like maldini, then they are enough to compete brazil, (but i know they will lose)

Argentina
9/.10 this squad is filled with new talents, and all they need is a good team chemistry. They are very very strong, but riquelmes retirement, shocked me!

Spain
9/10, i really think that they should have a good coach in order to win matches. their defence, attack and midfield are all good if the team is managed properly

Trinidad and tobago
5/10 this team showed a great performance in this world cup, but they still need to play better. Now this team will be in the world cup finals very often.

Fav players from
1) italy - well, in the world cup, it was buffon, probably the best out there!
2) France - Zinedine zidane, he is the only person who had the real talents! France is nothing without him n now, they are suffering
3) Podolski, this young talent is really an asset to the team!
4) C RONALDO, there is no doubt about it

I thought brazil, portugal, italy and france would reach the finals, but brazils exit early in the tounament shocked me! i thoguht they would win the cup, although i support portugal.

Ukarine - Above par. Highly overdue for a good performance at a major tournament, which they got at last.

Switzerland - Par. To be honest I don't think they deserved to go that far. Qualified in controversy (their qualifier with Turkey ended in chaos) and were too lucky to knock out the South Koreans.

Germany - Above par. Exceeded all expectations and confounded all critics who said Klinsmann was a lousy coach.

Argentina - Below par. To be honest I think they were slightly unlucky to lose out to Germany in the quarter-finals.

Spain - Par. Again, unlucky to lose to France in the second round.

T&T - Above par. Did well against Sweden and gave England a fright. Well done.

My four teams for the semis were Brazil, Argentina, France and England.

Ukraine: above par - first time they qualified for the wc and they got to the QF’s. not bad.

Switzerland: below par - a few times wc quarterfinalist but couldn't go past the 1st round this time.

Germany: below par - only technically ‘cuz they’ve been champs before but all things considered, I think they had a good wc. jurgen is a gem, too bad he couldn’t stay.

Argentina: below par - v. disappointing run and the aftermath was even worse bec. they lost riquelme. there was that thing about his mom but I think he quit bec. he was unfairly blamed for argentina’s poor showing.

Spain: below par - they’ve reached the semis before but there they were again always underachieving. all those awesome players and they couldn’t manage a decent finish. unbelievable.

Trinidad and Tobago: below par - in the sense that they were closer to entering the quarterfinals in the past. but still, a good showing for them. dwight yorke rocks!:))

favorite players from the NT's in the wc

2. italy – zambrotta (low key but effective)

4. portugal – figo, ronaldo minus the diving thing
