They have finished filming. What is going to take them more than six months to do? I believe it is July 13, 2007.

trailers are almost always released before editing has even got half way through, so there will still be alot of editing to do, then lock-off, then they have to send the master negative to other countries to be copied and prints be made, remember they have to make 20,000 prints of the film.

One very possible reason is they might be waiting for the release of the last book - they might want to do both at close to the same time. And since Rowling is not yet done with book seven, that could explain the delay in releasing the fifth movie.

oh really ? they're done filming? i thought they still had some crap to do... i suppose they're just tying up loose ends. seeing if they meet all the regulations, checking to see if not too many events from the book are twisted i guess.. n there might be other blockbuster movies coming out beginning of '07 so i guess WB wanted to a weekend that would be solely for them, u no?

Aside from the special effects, they may have to do some pick-up shooting in post-production
