Degree Mill? Waste of time? I don't think so. Have any of you people attended an on-line university?
The University of Phoenix is an Accredited College and Yes, your credits transfer to other colleges!!
The University of Phoenix is geared to working adults and is used by many of the top Organizations in the U.S. I just received my BSIT Degree in June and let me tell you the classes are intensive and you certainly need to know how to read, write and be self disciplined!!
If you are going to college to party and have a good time this certainly is not the college for you. You have to attend 5 days a week and you have to post a vast amount of papers and projects in those 5 days!
Paper Mill, you have to be joking!! I worked long and hard for 4 years for my Bachelors degree. I took all the normal classes that any college student would have to take. The only difference is I did not meet my fellow students. I was however, able to attend college, work full time and take care of my three children. UOP is focused on WORKING ADULTS who know how to discipline themselves! Yes the University of Phoenix is a good school!! And Yes, I plan on going back for my Masters Degree within the next year! I would highly recommend it!!

I think it's a waste of time and money. If you check out the small print on the TV ad, it pretty much says that the classes will not transfer. You're better off at a community college.

It's way better than ITT/Heald, but not nearly as good as a Junior College or University. They're more/less a degree mill, but at least you'll learn some business basics.

I believe it is one of the Top 10 on-line schools. Type in on-line schools or colleges in your search engine and see what happens. If it is accredited, it should be OK.
