I was told an ER doctor that I had a miscarriage when I was 8 weeks, I didn't follow-up because I didn't have money to go to the doctor, that was in August, I am still pregnant and can feel the baby kicking, what is going on?

You need to go to the doctor, tomorrow.

Either the original dr. was wrong and you didn't miscarry, or you were pregnant with multiples to begin with, and only miscarreid one.

You need to see a doctor immediately to check on the health of the remaining baby.

And as for money, look up the phone number of your local 'Division of Family and Children' office. They can set you up with a MedicAid insurance card that will cover at least all of your pregnancy-related medical bills. And after the baby is born, look up your local WIC office. THey can get you vouchers that you use like checks to purchase formula and other food.

Call the doctor tomorrow, and good luck!

The only way to know for sure if your baby is ok is to get an ultrasound. Tell your doctor you are really concerned that you don't really feel pregnant and you had that spotting etc and you would like an ultrasound to put your mind at ease. All could be fine though. I'm 12 weeks pregnant now and don't have many pregnancy symptoms at all. My nausea didn't pick up til I was about 8 weeks and even then it wasn't bad, and then last week it stopped again. I don't have sore boobs and I only feel a bit irritated and tired. I have a 4 year old daughter and didn't have many symptoms with her either until later on in the pregnancy. I've also had 2 missed miscarriages and with the first one I had a bleed at about 6 weeks, went for an ultrasound, all was ok, and a month later I started spotting real lightly and went for another ultrasound and the baby had died just after the last ultrasound had been done. The second time I started losing pregnancy symptoms at about 6 weeks and ultrasound showed babys heart had stopped too. Both times I had to have a d&c, but like I said, the first time, the baby had been dead inside me for nearly 5 weeks before we knew and it still didn't look like it was going to make it's way out of there anytime soon, so miscarriages aren't always full of blood and pain like alot of people seem to think.

Exactly what makes you sure you are pregnant - besides feeling a baby kicking? If you didn't miscarry (possible), and considering you didn't give any specific dates, this could be around the time you would feel certain movement of the baby. Any other symptoms? Have you had any periods? Have you taken a pregnancy test?

There are two possibilites: the first, you did NOT miscarry. The second, it was a twin pregnancy and you only miscarried one babe. (You could also have gotten pregnant again, but if that were the case I doubt you would be far enough along to feel movement.)

You really should follow up on this. You need to know for sure if you are pregnant. Go to a place that offers free pregnancy testing, go back to the ER, something. If you are pregnant you can probably qualify for Medicaid if you are low income.

Good luck!

Maybe you were preg with twins. You should go to the doctor asap and have a ulstrasound done. If you dont have the money for a doctor try a planned parenthood. I know the one by me does ultrasounds on certain times/days. But if you think your still preg. you should get medical help, so the baby can be healthy.

The best advice I could give you is to go see your regular doctor as soon as possible. If you really can't wait the next best thing is the ER and if your in pain or see spotting they may be a chance that your may still be pregnant.

Call your doctor, go to the hospital, visit a local planned parenthood, ANYTHING! Just get some medical help NOW ASAP!! Get medical or medicaid insurance to cover your pregnancy check-ups and delivery, just get to a doctor for the sake of that child(if there is one). I hope you get the results you are looking for! Good luck!!

It is possible that you were pregnant with fraternal twins and unfortunately lost one of them. It is possible that you did not have a miscarriage, only a little spotting. It is possible that you got pregnant again immediately after your miscarriage. Are you sure that you are still pregnant? Lots of things are possible.

A possibility of twins??? I also knew a girl who was pregnant and still bled occasionally, so it's a possibility you were mis-diagnosed.
