Is this a public school? A private school? In many cases, you can try out IF you have the proper clearances. In New York State Public Schools, for example, the female athlete in football must have the clearance of a review panel (the school physician, a physical education teacher chosen by the principal, and a physician chosen by the parents if they wish to choose one). With that approval, the female athlete can TRY OUT for the team. Again, not sure where you're from and what your local rules are, but the rules are likely similar to the rules for New York. Good luck!
