-2x^2+6x-3=0
=->2(x^2-3x+3/2)=0
=>2(x^2-2x.3/2+3^2/2^2)-3/4=0
=2(x+3/2)^2-(sqrt3/2)^2=0
=>-2(x+3/2+sqrt3/2)(x+3/2-sqrt3/2)=0
Therefore,x=-3/2-sqrt3/2 or -3/2+sqrt3/2

you complete the square. x^2+3x-3/2=0

x^2+3x=3/2

x^2+3x+9/4=15/4

(x+3/2)^2=15/4

x+3/2=square root of 15/2

x=((sqrt 15)-3)/2
