Some mid twenties weirdo keeps sneaking onto our property and kicking down our snowmen. Last time I saw him get a pal to take pics of him kicking down the snowman.
I want to rig up some sort of anger machine to bring him pain if he keeps trying it. Any ideas? I mean, this guy will come around at 2 and 4 AM just to knock over our poor snowmen.....

You must weld a full size hollow iron snowman the same size as the snowman in your yard. Then you will want to spray it in fake snow, the aerosol cans you buy at the store. Then set up your own camera just in case (his friend is an idiot). I assume he will break his toes unless he wears steel toed shoes. Then it being iron, a very brittle metal it might break in such a way that his foot goes inside and gets stuck. This would leave him injured and waiting for the authorities. A much cheaper scenario would be to make a snowman of solid ice and use the fake snow aerosol. These of course are some outlandish ideas and I haven't tested them. The end result may not go as planned.

First, I would call the cops about him trespassing, if he does something like that, there is no telling what he might try to destroy belonging to your family next.
As for revenge, I would put at the front of the snowman (hidden, of course) something hard. A huge rock, concrete block, the possibilities are endless.
Or, you could set up a trap hidden underneath the snow right in front of the snowman, just make sure your kids will leave it alone. I should warn you that if you do this the guy might be able to sue you and win. Who knows with our laws nowadays.

Good luck!

Too bad you cant add some slabs or rock or metal in them to change things up a bit... yanno pack some snow around a boulder or something...

One thing you CAN DO... Especially if it is cold enough.. spray down the area all around the snowmen with water so that instead of snow you get a big slick sheet of ICE.. now THAT could be comical when he tries to come around and ends up on HIS BUTT!

What is really too bad is that you don't know a cop or security guard to put some fear into him..

What a JERK...

GOOD LUCK!

Put up a sign on your snowmen that says"Thank you for kicking down our snowmen. We know where you live and we are going to kick YOUR snowmen down!"

Hey if you cant laugh--all you can do is cry.

Rig it so there is electrical current around it (a live wire fence) so when he touches the fence to kick the snowman down, he gets a good charge from it.

If it's cold enough, spray the snowman with water to give it a good thick coating of ice, then pack on some fresh snow to make it look normal.

Same principle as the mailbox-inside-a-mailbox with concrete between them to discourage "mailbox baseball".

Build your snowmen around or onto piles of bricks so he hurts his foot when he kicks them down.

Place a large stone in the base of the snowman's body. You need to find one large enough so that when he kicks it, he really feels some pain.

It would be great if you could get him on video and then show it to the police,,,or just call the police as soon as you see him arrive, and hopefully they'll get there in time and he will be sorry that he kept trespassing on your property and all that . He won't do it anymore I'm sure after that.
