The Nintendo Wii:

Comes With Wii Sports:

Tennis
Golf
Baseball
Bowling
Boxing

(ALL ON ONE DISK - COMES WITH THE WII)

(Multiplayer...play against the Wii itself with one remote...or against family members or friends with their OWN indvidual remote)

(You only have to have one remote...not one per game...you can play all the games with just your remote...but you do need others to play against friends or family members.)

***Backwards Compatible With The Gamecube***

(CAN PLAY ALL GAMECUBE GAMES)

***Motion Sensing Technology***

The Wii plays GameCube Games. Wii comes with a sports cd, I believe basketball is included as is tennis and golf and more. Depends on the game. Some require two controllers. Others only one.

If you go to a major retailer they will have a display set up to answer all of those questions.
Yes, the Wii can play game cube games and you can also download nes games off the net to the Wii. the sports package comes with the console. Depending on which sport you play with determine if you need the nun chuck or not.

Yes the Nintendo Wii does play gamecube games. Certain games require other controllers specifically designed for the Nintendo Wii. One such game would be the Zelda game. Many other games require a further controller to play. Im not sure about the sports game. In the advertisement they state that you buy the one sports disk and it comes with game such as tennis, bowling, golf, and baseball. That has been all that i have seen on it.

Gamecube games will work for WII, but WII's game will not work for gamecub. Basketball on WII will not be available for awhile since its unqie remotelike controller. That's why games like Tennis, shooting are avaible for now. I think one game comes with the system, the otehr you have to buy.
You don't need different controller for each game, however Nintendo sell those controllers like PS3 seperately.

Wii plays Gamecube games. You may need to buy a controller for it. The Wii does not come with a controller.

I'll answer those questions in order:

-Yes it can play gamecube games, as long as u have a GC controller.
-No there is no basketball. There's Tennis, Boxing, Baseball, Bowling, and Golf.
-Dont worry. it does come in the same system.
-Some games require the nunchuck attatchment for the remote, but dont worry, it comes with the system.
