I heard the Phoenix Suns were disqualified several times last season. What does this mean when it happens to the whole team?

Maybe you meant the player's being disqualified? If so, that would mean that a player either accumulated 6 personal fouls and has "fouled out" (This means that they are no long eligible to re-enter the game) or they have been given two technicals by the officials and have been tossed from the game.

Hope this helps.

Players can be disqualified from playing (ie - NBA penalties, injuries, etc). When reference is used to a team it is called a forfeit.
