YIKES!! #1: find the teenager
#2: Find out what in the H*** is gong on- do not take any excuses for answers either
# 3 Turn the gun in to authorities immediately.

I hope this is not really happening. Hopefully just a hypothetical question. Because schools barely will tolerate a verbal threat anymore- let alone a gun.

Oh wow...what a scary situation. I would be very frightened, of course, but I would definitely have a conversation with my child. I would find out where the gun came from and return it (if it was from a neighbor or something). If the gun came from a kid, I'd turn it over to the police.

I'm sorry that I can't answer this one. I think the police would have better answers, since this is really their expertise (youth and guns). I would certainly have them help me get control of this situation.

I would not go immediately into a yelling fit instead I would comely try to find out why the child has the gun.
I might not be his or her fault.
Your child might have been pressured to take the gun to school. they may have problems in school.
I would try to calmly talk it over with your kid or even better find an older pier she or he admires and get th pier to ask them why they did it. Your may find that your child does need a sykiatrist but don't rush /into that children hate it. and would rather talk out their feelings.

Hide the gun, talk to the child. I would HATE to call the police on my own child but, others could be in on it or they might have a spare gun. God knows what...I really have no solid answer, I would talk to my child, and take it from there.
