How can you help me to describe all the bonding about an N atom in N2F4 Using valence bond theory
(hybridized orbitals; Lewis dot formula for a symmetrical molecule)

Each N atom is sp3 hybridised, forming 4 electron pairs initially at approximately 109.5 degrees. The two N atoms are joined together with a single bonding pair. Each N atom has 2 x bonding pairs to F, and therefore each N atom will also have a lone pair. The lone pair will repel the bonding pairs slightly, so the F-N-F bond angle will be about 107 degrees.
