Hi Chrissy

You would go to a trade school for massage therapy. Different states have different requirements to pass and different hours of training you have to take for a license. It's approximately a year in NY. You do make good money and if you specialize with further training like lymphedema classes and certification, you can make alot of money. Generally therapists up where I live make between $50.00 to $90.00 an hour for massage, if you take lymphedema classes called manual lymph drainage, lymph drainage therapy or complete/complex decongestive therapy, you can make higher per hour.

You learn the body parts, muscles, ligaments, body structure, lymph system, techniques, business practices and there are so many other specialtys you can go into like Reiki, Swedish massage, infant massage, lymphedema therapy, Indian head massage, ashanti, etc.
