i just bought the prettiest dress at the limited. it's a silk dress, about mid-calf, that's really flowing below the waist. it's white with big, black polka dots and a pretty black belt. i luv it, kinda of a gwen stephanie look. :) i have a pair of black pumps i thought would look cute with it. should i wear black, white, or sheer hose with it. thanks so much.

I would do sheer for sure. You may want to ditch the blacks pumps though, as your accesories are the perfect outlet for an accent color ( i.e. red or yellow shoes). This sends the message that you're not too matchy-matchy and conscious of the importance of throwing in a trendy accent. If you want to keep the black pumps, you could kick it up with a loud handbag or jewelry... but do it in moderation, you want to look cute and tasteful , not tacky.

Sheer would look best I think. You want an un-cluttered look with a cute airy style like that.

i appreciate you being so courageous :) female clothing like some skirts that are short and knee length. Blouses in gentle light colorations and gentle tops.you may want to placed on skinny denims yet with a free flowy authentic and severe heels. or perhaps a t-blouse gown with a waist belt. Leggings are tremendous with ballet pumps and a vest authentic :) you may want to curl your hair in free curls and upload perhaps a flower? And a good number of pairs of heels! solid success xxxx

I'm a sheer girl myself - you don't have to worry about matching or "going" (with the dress)

if your skin tone(on your legs) are like a olive to tan color then sheer color(natural look) will be best. if your legs are white white and pale then go with the black
