Regional quotas have long plagued Indian cricket - its inexplicable that Gambhir, Ganguly and Laxman do not feature in the south african team inspite of such a shaky line up. How do we avoid these?

FIRST SELECTION OF SHRI VENSARKAR AND THE SELECTOR SHALL BE MADE IN FAIR MANNER.

HOW?

THE solution is,

Define performace on batting and balling, like Shri DRAVID / RAVI Shastri will play 100 balls to make 10 runs. It is (negative) -100 out of 100 marks. And then

(A)
FOR PLAYERS:

1)
[Pay - kick back ] be proportional.
( if negative take money back from the player)

and

2)
the best performer of the match will be the captain in the next match ie rolling captain.

if the team is defeated

2 worst performer from batting
2 worst performer from bowling
1 all rounder ( if not performed well)
1 wicket keeper ( if not performed well)

shall be changed without any argument by any political parties.

(B)
FOR
COACH,
SELECTOR,
BCCI,

1)
if the team win the test/ ODI series it will continue

2)
if the team loose the test/ ODI series new CAPABLE will step in and all in the capacity of

COACH,
SELECTOR,
BCCI

shall be changed without any argument by any political parties.

Simple answer: By resigning.

Wasim Jaffer in an ODi team? Dilip is a douchebag.
And Zaheer Khan picked with the clause that he shifts to Mumbai? Throw this sonofawhore called Vengsarkar out.

He should convince all other selectors the need to pick up best talent available irrespective of regionalism and he should take firm decision and exercise his authority as the Chairman of Selection Committee not to select any player based on regionalism even if any selector press for his selection.

Each zone is represented by a selector, however he represents only his state and does not support other state players in the zone. this should be first corrected. The selector who represents from his zone should have all handson information about all the players and their current form in his zone. list them out and rank them accordingly which will give a clear picture about the consistency of the player, even if he is young. He should also have records of the under 19, 17 players in the zone. this would help to groom the youngster.

First of all appoint Dada as captain and see all the regional quotas will disappear. Dada don't like this. So, Colonel, hurry up ! Its time for Ganguly.

To be very frank BCCI choosen selectors will never perform. In Indian cricket we need persons like T.N.Seshan.

We spectators cannot avoid these. Our selectors are "bunch of jokers" as said previously by one of our famous batsman.
