There is a downside: When you delete cookies, some programs or goodies you downloaded may or may not work, pictures may or may not become X’s the next time you open the file, etc.
It’s your choice to make.
You can also:
Click Contents tab: now click the content tab, click to clear auto complete, click to clear forms.
Where it says use autocomplete, uncheck all the things you dont want your browser to store. This way you won’t have to keep going back and clearing things out.

1. For Mozilla Firefox:
Click 'Tools' in the top menu bar
Click 'Options'
Click 'History' & 'Clear'
Click 'Cache' & 'Clear'.
2. For Internet Explorer:
Click 'Tools'
Click 'Internet Options'
In General tab, click 'Clear History' and confirm 'OK'
In General tab, click 'Delete Files'
Tick 'All Offline contents' and click 'OK'
3. Follow up with the following procedure to delete from your hard disc:
Click 'Start'
Click 'All programs'
Click 'Accessories'
Click 'Ssystem tools'
Click 'Disc clean up'
Click 'OK' and 'Yes' to confirm

in google toolbar go to settings, click options, click search box settings and then disable 'suggest searches from my history' option.

were u go to type in wat u want to look up u press the down arrow and hit the delet key when u highlight the site u want to delet.
