Depends on what part of the healing you're talking about. Within two months it stopped hurting when touched but officially six months is a safe time period. Sea salt soaks are strongly recommended 1-3 times a day depending on your activiity levels. Of course in addition to ordinary cleaning with antibacterial soap.
