I need a good program (or any program) that writes java code so u can create programs on it. But the catch is it has to be for a Mac Os 9 or earlier (if any of you have a mac that isnt an osX you understand what i am going through) please help if you can. thanks

You're stuck with a 1.1 JDK (http://developer.apple.com/java/faq/ see no. 6). You can use any text editor and use the apple JDK tools (I think they called them the "MRJ"). Obviously, you can't use any tools developed using Java 2 or later libraries (NetBeans, JDeveloper, JEdit, etc.). Your Mac Classic days are numbered. Sorry.

nicely, there are quite a few courses: BlueJ Netbeans Eclipse Xcode TextWrangler TextEdit to call some. Coding courses that comprise compilers? :P the purely one on that list that doesn't comprise a compiler is TextEdit. TextEdit is only a textual content editor, like Notepad, and does not have its personal compiler. All different ones listed could have code compiled from interior this technique its self. i desire this solutions your question, ~Barolb
