ive been a real b*tch to my friend lately. i don't know why, i guess i've been stupid, but i've been lying to her, and saying anything that comes to my head about her. like instead of saying "we should hang out some time".... "so.. do you hang out with people on the weekend" therefore turning it into an insult. ive also been acting like im fishing for compliments in front of her, being narcisstic, obnoxious... in short everything i dont want to be. is there any way to clear the slate between us w/o zapping away her memory before its too late?

Just cut it out and be yourself to your frieend and not the imposter you were.Your friend will be there for you and glad you havee solved your problem

Come out and apologize once, then let yout change in behaviour and attack speak for itself. If you earn the trust basck with the change you will gain it back but repetitive saying "im sorry..." with no change in the way you been treating her hold little truth.

Also the thing about fishing for compliments, there is a saying about that. A genuine compliment is not fished for it is given freely and independently. I.E. If I see someone who noticeably lost weight that I knew I will congratulate/acknowledge or tell them in some way. If I dont really notice it and the person says "hey dont I look skinnier..?" alot of people patronize and agree with the question (called begging the question) this is not a true compliment.

Good luck asnd I hope your friend and you get on better terms.
