This is a common question for 4 cylinder and V-6 owners. I have tried A LOT of things on my own 4 and 6 cylinder cars to increase performance. Here is my answer: Sell your car, and buy a GT with a V-8. If you really want considerably more power, this is the cheapest, fastest, easiest, best, most reliable way to go, hands down...and, it will keep resale value better, too! However, if you are way upside down in your car (owe much more than its worth -- which is very common,) then I would say forget all the other mods, doing it little bit here, little bit there, and just buy a complete turbo kit. If you're not comfortable putting it on, then pay a reputable shop to do it. A turbo system with moderate boost will increase performance considerably. Short of these two things, modifications such as coil, intake system, exhaust, and so on, will cost you a lot more money than the increase is worth on your car. If you did all these minor mods, you might gain 15 horsepower, which you will have spent a grand, and hardly notice. Keep it stock, or make it rock.! The in-between is not worth the effort of investment.

The coil will make it burn cleaner. However it does not do alot to improve performance on a street car. To increase performance on any engine, increase air in and exhaust flow out, then think about a performance chip.
