i wouldn't advise him to do that. why not just ask for money instead of stealing?

Preacher has to pay for his car some how, kidding in all honesty some of the churches actually help with the money they collect. When I was younger the day before Christmas someone at my moms work stole her check, this church payed our electric bill that mo, got us some food, and a few toys. To this day that is the only church I will give money to even though I don't go. Just because I know they use the money to help people in need.

Never do a crime or you could do the time.
I have worked in a prison and it is not a fun place. Inmates are there 24/7 doing there time, cleaning trash, doing laundry, or breaking rock. It is dark and hateful. You are locked up and searched all day long (body search, yes naked). You are propositioned for sex by those bigger and stronger than you. If you are a teen, they really want you. You are a good commodoty and they will fight for you (to make you their B_t _h). I have seen it all. They hurt, they kill, they are miserable every second of every day.
How did it all start? Drugs, stealing, robbery, hurting others?
Crime is never worth it. If you need money find a better way, get a job, any small job, flip burgers if you have to.
I grew up dirt poor. I did what I had to in order to SURVIVE. I hooked up with those better off than me, and rode their shirt tails. I worked cleaning homes, and buying groceries for old people just to make money. I bought all my clothes in thrift shops. I ate at my friends home (my wonderful best friend who was Mexican) and helped them in return for giving me food and a safe place to hang out. I was low, very low. I got into drinking and minor drugs and prayed to survive.
My life turned around when I decided I was too good to give up. I decided to go to college and work my way through and live in the dorms to keep a roof over my head. And there at college I met the man of my dreams, we got married 5 years later and had two kids. These kids are grown men now and I never looked back.
I got into business and made money and saved money so that I could have a great life. I learned what it was like to hurt and be in poverty and I wanted more for my kids. I worked my butt off but it was worth it.
I am retire now at 50. I have money to help others. I help teens as i seen myself in them.
Give up crime, work for the good life.

Instead of stealing from drug dealers who themselves have drug dealers to pay and they may be the killing kind. To say that they are not the killing kind is putting yourself in a possibly dangerous situation as one never knows what could happen.
How about picking up a second, third or even fourth job before resorting to theivery?

I have been in that position many years ago. I am very glad that a friend told me to hang in there and not do something that could get me arrested and put in jail, or worse,,,, get killed, drugs are their life and no matter who he steals from, hes no better than they are. If he needs money, tell him to get a job. Life is more important than to ruin it over cash.

Yes you should advise him before he be in jail and his life will really be messed up.that's not the way to solve problems. listen to him let him talk some times people just need some one to listen not always needing advice unless they ask for it.

Its probably best to just stay out of it, and let him make his own choices unless you fell strong for one dessision over the other but if you don't know what you think then just say back.
