definitions are not restrictions at all. but love is so complex, everyone should have their own definition of it. mine is this: love is when two personalities (meaning not just people but even animals, ok?) are thinking of each other at the exact same time. it's the faraway look that makes the holder look lost, the heart found. >_<

Love is the attraction you feel towards a person when you admire their personality, their looks (less important), and generally who they are. You want to spend time with them, be best friends, and want to do everything you can to make them happy. It's respect, it's compassion, it's pretty much an extreme form of friendship. And it's not lust.
That's my definition.

Caring enough to go with out, so someone you love can have more!
willingness to lose an argument with the person you love so they can be right!
Wanting to be with someone, long after they have lost what once attracted you to them!
Love comes from what's on your shoulders more than between your legs and has to come from the heart as well!

love is unconditional. there is no definition as such. if i am able t love a person without an expecting to be loved back then that is true love. thus far i have seen only one person with such great unconditional love. our God our Father in heaven.

Though, like Justice nearly impossible to define well, Love is shown best through action.
Whether you speak of agape, eros, storge, philia. You will see it and experience it best in action. Words are one thing (and in terms of eros...beware-all the flowerly words in the world don't mean much without long term demonstrated action...like...ahem...marriage) but words can lie much easier than actions. Bush can speak all he wants to about how much he cares for the poor, but his unwillingness to use much of his own personal money in their aid, and his suggested and unfortunately approved disastrous-to-the-poor economic policies are living proof that he cares about money, and not the poor.

love is a feeling of great care for someone. it's like talking a walk on the beach during a sunset. love is a feeling of gratefulness to someone...or passion.
