just ignore it, if it's a rumor, there is no truth to it, why bother? just laugh it off.
if you get down and dirty with that person, you are stooping below like them. pretty sure you have better things to do other than thinking of revenge. remember the old saying, "if someone throws you a rock, you should instead give them a bread back"? or another one, "kindness kill".....
there is no sense of beating someone else, you will get punished for that even you are just retaliating for the hurt or pain you've suffered. that will be a bad record for you. just pray for that person to change..
but if you are a bad person with no conscience, well experience on that category, by beating other or kicking someone else' butt will be your cup of tea, you don't need anyone's advice, you already made up your mind, you just need others affirmation to do your kind of thing...

Or how about just letting it slide? Be the better person and don't let it bother you. A rumor is a statement that doesn't have much truth to it, so if other people believe it, they are the ones who need to get a life. Show that it doesn't bother you and people will leave you alone. Just don't fight fire with fire, because it'll backfire. Good luck.

If you were really hurt by the rumor, I would seek physical punishment. If the person started a rumor, they could probably snuff one about themselves just as easily. Call them out on it. If you think you stand a chance of winning a fight, figure a time and place and make sure they show up. make it a place where there is an easy escape should the cops show. Bring eggs to throw at them as soon as they show. It will catch them off guard.

So, if your friends are listening and telling you, they're not your friends really. Just turn your back on the nonsense. Let them talk about you. Jealousy will do that to them.

The best revenge is to act like a lady so that everyone knows that the rumor is a lie. It will be the best way to make her look bad. Act like you pity her for being so stupid and such a liar.

do not beat the person up or do any thing bad just tell the person that you don't like the rumor that is spreaded tell the person to apologize!

Don't think of nasty things to do to someone else. Just think of the best revenge as showing that person that it doesn't affect you. Be the bigger person, ignore it.

There is no revenge let it go in let God., He will solve all of your problems better than you can . Let the ones talk about you and still be their friend and make sure you Smile and they will soon stop talk and be wondering what is going on and God has done his job.
