We have all had sore bottoms from time to time and they are no fun. Especially when you can't say what you want to do to feel better.
My son always had bad diaper rash too. Some just have very sensitive skin.
#1- use water only to clean. The wipes contain chemicals that can further irritate the area
#2- Make sure you keep baby dry. Change frequently to keep moisture off the bottom.
#3- The best creme and powder I found were Desinex creme and Gold Bond Baby Powder. The combo of those two clear things up vey quickly.
#4- Hugs and Kisses for Baby.....
Good Luck!

Better see the pediatrician as soon as possible to rule out other problem such as secondary bacterial infection associated with the diaper rash or any other problem. There are many over the counter creams for diaper rash. It is important that diapers be changed as soon as possilbe. Dont let it be wet for prolonged periods of time. You should check once in a while and change as soon as possilbe.

Use a cream with very high content of Zinkoxide, look on the backside of the packaging. Clean the area: best with oil and put a laaarge amount on (it has to look white). It has to be thick enough that no urine can get to the inflamed side. Change diapers asap after the baby peed, there will be an immediate relieve but i needs some days to renew the inflamed skin.
(I araised two kids)

My daughter had diaper rash so bad it was bleeding it was awful. First are you sure it isn't a yeast infection or thrush? If so then a silicone based cream works great it doesn't let moisture get to the skin alos try plain old baby powder i found it worked great because it absorbed excess moisture, just load him up you really can't use too much. Hope he feels better soon!!

Look for the heavy cream. Like the one they let you use at the hospital. It helps its really hard to rob off but it works also make sure you wash him every time you change his diaper. Not just wipe it. Dont always put a diaper on him let him rest for a little. Give him baths with aveeno.
Good luck. I hope your baby feels better.
also don’t use cream with fragrance

A&D ointment is good to put on BEFORE putting on any other creme.....it doesn't BURN like desitin does when it goes on the rash.....I would do A&D with which ever other brand you use over it.....and let him go with out a diaper as much as possible so the air can get to it and heal it

It could be fungal, and the creams making it worse. That said you would need an antifungal, we always had nystantin around (thrush issues) but thats prescription. The pharmacist could point you to an over the counter. Also try to go without a diaper (lots of towels) to dry it out.
