Lea? my middle name is Lea. By looking at the spelling would you pronounce it lee-ah or lee? just curious.

Well if you look at other names similar like Bea which is pronounced bee or sea which is pronounced see, then I'd say lee. But, either way is correct. If I were to name my child and wanted it pronounce lee-ah I would spell it Leah. I have a friend who's named Lea & it's pronouced lee and another Leah pronounced lee-ah.

I would guess Le-a. How is it pronounced? I know it's pronounced lee when lea is on the end of Avonlea.

well because of the spelling it seems like it would be prounounced lee-ah, but i think it's supposed to be pronounced lee. i like it better that way too!

I would say LEE. That's my sisters middle name and my cousin's first name and i know a number of other people with that as first or middle names.

definitly lee-ah. but it depends if it is a girl or a boy though. lee-ah would be more for a gil. but lee sounds better for a boy.

I can see why you are asking. It can be pronounced as Lee-yagh, Lee, or Ley- ya. It all depends on the person saying your name and what their ethnic background is. I think it is best that you set them straight as to how you want your name pronounced, or tell them, call me "miss/mrs....." and be done with it.
