Ingesting too much beta-caratine can create an orangish tint to the skin and cause the urine to have a distinctive odor, as with asparagus. Stop eating carrots for one week.

These are the symptoms from too much:
blurred vision
bone pain
diarrhea
dry, cracked skin
fatigue
hair loss
headaches
irregular menstrual periods
joint pain
yellowish tinge to the hands and feet
liver damage
skin rashes
vomiting
The fix is to stop consuming beta-carotene, eat plenty of fresh fruit, and drink lots of water. I just went through this with my oldest daughter. Please contact your doctor. They will be able to tell you if you are taking too much beta-carotene.

The carotene is harmless, though somewhat unsightly. Cut down on the beta-carotene and you will notice that it begins to fade in about two weeks, pretty much gone by two months.

Drink lots of fluids. Your skin will probably have a lovely orange hue, but it is harmless.

Well, i never have personally but someone that i know did-just once, and they turned orange (lasted about 3wks.) and they just yakked..ALOT! Good luck to ya.
