I'm trying to buy a tie for a friend that would go well with his pinstripe suit (with vest) [ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/AlternativeUlster/uglytie.jpg ].
I'm just wondering what kind of color would go well.
Is it bad to mix textures or other stripes with this? What kind of tie would you recommend for this outfit? Any and all input is appreciated (I really don't like that tie)! Thanks.

Any color that isn't very loud would work just fine.

Depends. For the winter I would pick a darker color or if it is your guy pick a color that is in your dress. Since gray is the color it can go with pretty much anything. My favorite colors are blue and green so you can go with them as well.

IT DEPENDS ON THE COLOR OF THE SHIRT THAT HE IS GOING TO WEAR.HE MAY WEAR A SOLID POWDER BLUE.DARK GREY,OR A SOLID ORANGE SHIRT.WITH THE POWDER BLUE SHIRT I RECOMMEND A LITTLE DARKER SILK BLUE TIE,DARK GREY SHIRT I RECOMMEND A DARK GREY SILK TIE,WITH THE ORANGE SHIRT I RECOMMEND A DARK ORANGE SILK TIE.THE PINSTRIPE SUIT IS BUSY ENOUGH SO I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM PRINTS OR DESIGNS IT MAY CLASH OR MAY LOOK TO BUSY.

the tie i think goes well with the pin suit. so u dont have to buy another tie.

try going in for pinks reds or blues
