a tween is a youngster below the teenage years, somewhere between 10 and 12 yrs old. a teen is a teenager.

here's dictionary.com's definition:

tween--noun 2. Also, tween, tweeny. a youngster between 10 and 12 years of age, considered too old to be a child and too young to be a teenager.

teen--–noun 2. a teenager

A teen is older, (about 13-19) and a tween is younger (about 9-12).

a tween is a kid younger than 12, but generally older than 8 or 9, a teen is everyone else up to age 20

a teen is a person with the age 13-19 (because it ends in TEEN)

tween are almost teens, usually starting from ages 9-12 about. (tween because there not teen or 'wittle babies' XD)

teen is 14 to 18 tween is 11 to 13 when the kids are not quite over their toys and playing but moving into dating and clothes and the joys of growing up.

A tween is supposedly like a preteen. Disney, Raven, watching girls- like 8-12 years old
