i am a nursing student so i would like to store notes of my work, take pics i can down load later on myn computer i really dont care about the use of the internet i may use it once in a while i just want some thing with alot of memory for notes and so i can start my papers when i have an idea i need to be able to edit

I think you need a TREO 700p, it has a camera built in, that can take stills or video. Plus it comes with a full version of Documents to Go that will allow you to write and read MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint presentations. (Try creating an excel spreadsheet or a Powerpoint presentation on a blackberry!)

PLUS it is a true handheld computer (NOT just a smartphone) That means all sorts of FREE and low cost programs are available for it. Usually extra programs for smartphones are pretty expensive and available only from the manufacturer. The little extra you spend (often just $50 - $100) on a Treo is more than made up by the power, flexibility and low cost of additional programs. Chances are, if you need a PDA to do something, the Treo can do it because it is a true computer with a phone attached.

BTW, you can test all this out for yourself, go into any Staples or Office Depot and ask to see the add-on programs for the Palm Treo, then ask to see the add-on programs for any other PDA phone they carry.
