are there any forms of "accepted racism" & for that matter racism in general today even though its 2006? please give as much detail as possible.

=yes it is 2006 and racism was always here and will continue at least through this generation or until we are all one. Some things never change. Happy Thanksgiving

Yeah, especially against Muslims right now. Mostly by the less than intelligent middle Americans who only know what they see on TV and don't really think too hard about anything. But that is definitely a socially acceptable thing in America right now. Also it't true that people with obviously ethnic names don't get called back as much for jobs. It's human nature and I'm sure it will always exist to some degree.

alright yes sadly there are.
People feel that if they can 'justify' their racism it's okay.
When a woman grabs her purse tightly when a black man passes her. thinking it's okay because black males have a higher crime rate.
When people talk about Muslims - calling them all terrorists.
also minorities feel that it's okay for them to make racist comments because only white people can be racist.
