A candle on top of my tv broke a hole and the wax dripped down the tv, down the cabinet onto the brand new carpet. What's a good way to clean it out?

Try taking a few layers of paper towels and set a hot iron over the wax spot. As the heat melts the wax the paper towels will soak it up, but change them often so you don't get wax on your iron.

scrape what you can off carpet, then take a paper bag put over spot to be cleaned and use a warm iron, blotting up the wax.
I've used this on table cloths and anything else you get wax on.
It works pretty well.
hope it works for you :)

Pick off as much excess wax as possible then put a rag, t-shirt, towel or paper towel over and iron it on high.

Put an old towel or shirt over it and iron it, it will melt and soak into the other material. Pick out as much as you can before you iron it though.

Place a towel over it and then use an iron...the wax will melt and stick to the towel.

Yuppers.........I agree with Heather! I was going to answer that but she already did. That is actually the best way to get it out. But you can also use an ice cube to freeze it and then slowly pick it off of the carpet.

I do not know for certain but I believe I was told once to lay a brown bag on it and use a blow dryer to melt and let it transfer on to the bag. I would want to make sure on a small area first.
