I have an 06 mustang V6 and I have th Dynomax DNX muffler on it, and it sounds awesome. I think it has a better tone than the flowmaster on my v6.

Well I would get a strait catback system by magnaflow there all pretty good for there systems, and yes you will notice a difference in sound and you will like it! and you should consider a cold air intake or short ram intake with a foam filter or k&n filter,as these only cost under $100 bucks which will be alot cheaper than the full catback
catback 10-15hp $350 plus.
shortram intake and cold air intake 7-12 hp under $100 or so
ebay is gods gift to car guys!

for that car and all mustang the best brand is BORLA, but is more expensive than the others, flowmaster is very reliable brand , just make sure to buy a true dual setup and the "H" connector.
you'll sound mean!!

A muffler is a muffler. Different builders do it different but the bottom line is your preference. A premium priced muffler would use thicker metal to make it last longer. but basically they are the same. Every muffler sounds different on every vehicle. The dia. of the pipe, the length, the number of bends, the cat., all have an effect on the sound out the tail pipe. The only way to know is put it on and start the engine.

I prefer the Flowmasters personally. However, the V-6........I don't think an exhaust system will help the "mosquito" sound.

i own a repair shop, and i really like the sound and performance of flow masters on a mustang even a v-6 sounds good with them on,but any others don't last good at all i have been using flow masters for a while now,and i know for a fact that they last good ,and the sound stays with them ,and the don't rust out like the cheaper ones do,but best bang for your buck here is flow masters,,good luck i hope this help,s.
