Parboil the greenbeans, then saute in olive oil with a little garlic, pimentos and slivered almonds. Don't forget the salt/pepper.

Well any vegetable dish can be improved upon. Go to any recipe site on the web and you'll find thousands. Green beans or corn, or even beets would be good vegetable dishes.

doing something with the cranberry sauce (like making it into stars and putting it onto lettuce with a ball of Philadelphia cheese is nice....maybe there's some kind of jello desert you could make...I alway liked pistaccio pudding or strawberry pudding for color). For thanksgiving we used to have turkey and stuffing (or cornish hens with stuffing), sweet potatoes (several ways of making those, some people use marshmallows mixed in with them), and then there is pumpkin pie with Kool Whip. I used to make corn bread, my mother in law used to make pumpkin bread (I like Phillie cheese on that too)...how about pears in it's own liquid with a little cherry juice and a cherry in the dip and put it on lettuce. How about gingerbread men cookies. YOu can use different kinds of stuffings too.

I like peas with onion and bacon. You sautee onion and bacon in a pan with some olive oil and add the peas (either canned or frozen and cooked) and salt and pepper. You then sautee the peas until any residual liquid is gone. Quick, easy and yummy.

Good luck and happy Thanksgiving.

I made one last year and everyone loved it.
