I don't mean sleeping in all of the time. Can sleeping in once a week or so be beneficial to you? What happens if you never "catch up" on sleep?

its technically impossible to catch up on your sleep -- what you lost you lost. you sleep more out of exhaustion. try to add some more sleep into your week on a regular basis. it a best to sleep 8-9 hours on a regular schedule and deviate as little as possible. people that tell you less than 8 are nuts. you need sleep. you will look better and feel better when you get enough sleep.

According to reports on TV just last week, they said that you should get 8 or 9 hours a sleep a night. Pick a time to go to bed and pick a time to wake up and then stick to it. When you sleep in, you are actually making yourself more tired in the end. I go to bed at precisely 11 pm, whether tired or not, and wake every morning at 6:30 am whether I want to or not, and that includes weekends.

Sleeping is extremely beneficial to you. The more regular (right amount) of hours you sleep, the better. And if you are tired, it's good to take power naps every now and then and sleeping in shouldn't be any different. As long as you don't overdo it, it should actually help you be more energized.

You can't literally catch up on sleep once it's gone it's gone. If you've missed a lot of sleep then you sleep in just because you are exhausted. I don't imagine sleeping in can be bad for you so if you need the extra rest go for it.

Too little sleep can make you sick...About 8 hours a night is best for most people. Alot depends on how active you are during the day. Does'nt hurt to sleep in once in a while.

Very much important I would say because it's the only time when you can have total relaxation. When you're sleeping, your muscles and brain can have some rest as well.

No sh*t sherlock, it's important. You don't get the regular 7-8hrs of sleep, it'll catch up to you. You'll get what one calls a sleeping disorder.
