why is it so hard for someone to get to know you before they judge you?

I do not understand why people can be so mean to someone when they do not even know them. is it really that hard to try to get to know someone before you put them down who knows you may really like them if you just give them a chance.

The human race is a critical creature by nature, and so therefore is instinctively quick to judge.

It isn't hard at all to get to know someone and even then, we shouldn't judge them. We should accept everyone as we would want them to accept us.

I think what happens in society is that we are plagued by the indifference of others or the remarks that people so openly speak due to an experience they've had. We are not patient to get to know people, this hurried pace that we are in. It is easier to put someone down that we don't know than to take the chance to get to know them or just plain accept them for who they are. We are like that even in stores, when shopping. No longer do we even take the moment to smile at another - we just don't have the time. It's sad what we have become. :(

But it only takes one person to make a difference. :)

The majority have been conditioned by the society that they live in or by their parents not to like someone just on one quality or by something that they can't control, so as a whole people will look at someone at judge them becauseof some preconcieved notion. It's going to take a lot of years before people will be concerned with what's on the inside rather than what's on the outside.

People always tend to "Judge a book by its cover". You shouldn't worry though. People who are like that aren't worth knowing. One day they will learn there can be more to a person then just how they look!
