Hey guys. Well, on Friday I went on a field trip with my team (our grade is seperated into teams), and I got sunburned and now my face is starting to peel. What is a good way to cover it up? Thanks!!

Use lots of after burn lotion or gel and try not to peel it off. I know it's tempting but don't. Also, if you're going to wear makeup, don't wear powder or anything flaky, it will only accentuate the peeling. If you absolutely MUST use foundation, use a green toned or yellow toned one. When you use a peachy colored one it tends to accentuate the burn as well. Don't use any harsh soaps and use a very soft washcloth when cleaning your face.

There's not much that can be done to actually cover up a sunburn, especially if it's peeling. Concealer over a red, peeling face never looks good. You can, however, help it heal faster. During the day be sure to apply aloe or other sunburn ointments. At night, thickly coat your face with a fragrance-free (as to not further irritate your skin) moisturizer. My final tip; resist the urge to exfoliate or peel the sunburn! This will only make it look redder and more irritated.

I had the same problem when we went to key west. If I were you I wouldnt use anything, just oil or I used Aloe Vera, but make sure its the best the cheap ones didnt help me. But then again everyones skin is different.
Good luck!!!
