Well... since Rosebud is already taken, I'll say the monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey. I could use a *touchstone* for inspiration now and then. Unfortunately, Kubrick destroyed all the props. Studios had a habit of recycling props back then and he was paranoid about something from his film turning up in the next "Plan 9 From Outer Space".

Oh! Or the stop-motion armature of King Kong from the original film, along with the model of the Empire State Building to pose him on. That would be cool.

I almost bought one of the actual umbrellas from Blade Runner when I was younger... the ones where the handle lights up. They had one for sale at a movie prop store I used to go to and it was pretty inexpensive at the time... *kicks self*.

So many of my fave Movies involve cool vehicles...Going for an actual working prop as opposed to a non-functional fx requiring dummy,I'd like one of the "Italian Job" Minis :) I don't mind which, but the most recent version ones would be in better shape..
this list is subject to change ;)

Aw shucks, that's easy:

The sled from 'Citizen Kane'. I think I read somewhere that Steven Spilberg owns the version that was not burned in the film.

Failing that, I'd have to say Dorothy Gale's ruby slippers.

James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 from "Goldfinger." Heck, I'd take a lookalike even without the machine guns, bulletproof shield, and ejector seat...

For myself, I'd have to choose Arwen's headdress from the Lord of the Rings.

For my little ones, I'd have to choose Jack Sparrow's compass that never points north... ♥
