I just saw the first movie for the first time. I thought it was alright. Tell me why you like the books or the movies.

I am a 23-year-old Harry Potter fan. Yeah, lame but I can't help it. I have read all the Potter books and seen all the Potter movies. In general the books are way better than the movies. I think this is true with every book-into-film movies.
The first HP movie was nice. I liked it. The second one too. They were more to the book than the third one. The third movie to me is the lamest of them all. I hate the way they did the storyline and I didn't like that they changed the movie sets. The school's all different from the first two movies. Third one got thumbs down from me. The fourth one was fun. I liked it. It was more to the book. I went to see the midnight show for the fourth movie. Now the third and fourth movies are soooo badly acted that it's embarassing to watch. The three main characters are supposed to be more friendly and comfortable with each other. They're really tight buds in the books and in the movies they seem alittle awkward with each other. I don't buy it that they're best friends. Hopefully the fifth movie will be more believable. I hope so.
Bottom line: The Harry Potter books are better than the movies.

I love just being in a place where everyone is different. J.K. Rowling wrote the books for people who wish they could live a life by magic and I am one of those people. I think for me the reason why I love the books is that I am in love with anything that does not deal with what happened, or just plain going on. Its an escape and once you read, you are hooked. I can not wait to see the new movie or read the new book. I saw Happy Feet just to see the Harry Potter preview since it is the only movie that is showing it. You can love, like or just hate it. A place that is far from this world, an escape for what is going on, a place where you mind can go to image what the world would be like if this really was going on. I just love everything about it. Once I read the first I now live the books and dream like I have never dreamed before.

i like the books much more than the movies, because the books take you on a thrill ride. It has so many twists and turns, and is decribed in great detail. I just love the plot.
