OK, last week my little girl started telling me that her "private" itches so I give her a bath and it was a little red but I thought that it might be from running and playing or maybe she wasn't washibg her self very good so when she took a bath I made sure that she cleaned her self really well. Ok. Friday I notice that mine look like her's and it itches. So I thought it could be the laundry detergant but I have been using that same laundry detergant for a while now and we never has any problems. So i bought new laundry detergant today and I have rewashed all of mine and her underwear in this new detergant. So I guess what I am wondering is has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know what could be that problem so that I am fix it? Or do you think that I need to go see a doctor?

We did go shopping a few weeks ago and I let her pick her own body wash out. So she did switch body wahes. That might be her solution, but I am still not for sure about mine.

she might have a rash, which is normal for little kids to get. Most likely she has a yeast infection. No matter what, go to the pediatrician and maybe get her on some antibiotics.

this has happened to me when i was little and all the way up until now. we went to doctors and they never could pinpoint what it was except for they said that it could be the washind detergent, body wash, bubble bath that my mom was letting me use so little by little we changed everything we changed our washing detergent first and that helped a little bit then we changed the body wash i was using and that didn't seem to change anything and last i couldn't take a bubble bath and that solved the problem the problem was that strong stuff like strong smelling washing detergent that smelt really good and bubble bath would break my bottom out because i would sit in the bubble bath for at least 30min. just playing and i would be wearing the clothes that my mom washed the clothes in all day and they would smell real good and clean but they would break my bottom out so just try to buy stuff with less perfume fragrances in them try to buy soft stuff with less perfume

I have really sensitive skin. Our doc. told me mom to change to Tide Unscented. Use Dove for sensitive skin DO NOT let her put on any body wash or anything like that you either. ALSO it could be your panties. Make sure they are a breathable cotton and make sure they are white casue the dye could be upsetting you. If all else fails in 2 weeks then GO TO THE DOCTOR. also changing your lotion could help too try Eucerin or Cetaphil Creams they are expensive but they have no perfumes or ne thing. GOOD LUCK

I would go see a doctor if the problem continues. See how you both are feeling tomorrow if no change I would definitely go see a doctor.
Also is there anyone else in your household that is complaining of the same symptons?

good idea - changing the detergent could help bcos it could be the previous detergent you are allergic to. If the problem recurs, maybe go see a dr. then.
