The factory warranty on the 2001 Acoord is 3 years/36,000 miles.
However Honda has extended the transmission warranty on 98-01 Accord and Odyssey models to 100,000 miles as per bulliten 02-062
Even if you are past 100,000 miles Honda would likely do a "Goodwill Warranty" and at least pay for the parts.

My wife's 2000 Accord with auto tranny got an extension to 100,000 miles. Might want to check into that. Apparently there were some problems with that tranny and Honda extended the warranty.

I'm not sure what it is, but keep on bugging the dealer if it has expired. Tell them you love Hondas, but if they don't fix the transmission (for customer satisfaction reasons), your probably won't buy another Honda, but will switch to Toyota. If you never ask, you'll never get a yes answer.

Transmissions generally have 10 years/100,000 miles.
Check for "powertrain warranty"
