kielbasa is for Easter.
My tradition is either stuffed turkey, lamb or ham...these days it's stuffed cornish hens. You can vary the dressing, and vary the taste of the bird. And, of course gravy and mashed potatoes. Cranberry sauce is needed (either in berries or the jelled kind from the can) and put that in a star form on a piece of lettuce and vary it with canned pear halves, add Philadelphia cheese balls on that platter. Green beans with pieces of pork plus muchrooms in it. Some people have squash and corn bread. I like pumpkin bread or pumpkin pie. My mom used to bake a lot of pies like cherry, apple, peach and put ice cream on it for desert. Dress the table with candles and thanksgiving decorations and a pretty tablecloth and napkins. The usual coffee, tea, spiced tea....and prayer ..are traditional.

Fearlessly scuffling with to hold peace to a city and be the only chicken left status (or on the dinning room table). I had made preparations to have the chicken shipped on your city, even with the undeniable fact that it flew out the window. because it dwindled into the clouds I heard it gobble 'i'm going to be returned!' I specific wish he capacity by Thanksgiving, for the reason that became into the family members dinner that flew away... besides, you will possibly desire to quickly see the advent of this freedom scuffling with chicken and be rid of your nuisance turkeys. stable success... and God's speed.

I myself prefer Ham, Candied Sweet Potatoes, Corn, Cranberry Sauce, Deviled Eggs, Green Bean Casserole and a good old fashioned Lemon Meringue for dessert. Of course most of those things I can't really eat, but I can dream can't I.

The family...without it Thanksgiving is just not the same.
Oh you meant, food....well, we have to have the macaroni and cheese and the stuffing...and the wild rice...cranberry sauce must be at the table too, you know.
I can do without the potato salad or mashed potatoes and candied yams this year. :) I will miss the deviled eggs, though.

Lemon Meringue pie because my grandmother always made and brought one as well as celery stuffed with cream cheese. It's the only time of year I make it. And, my mom's pork sausage stuffing with apples, raisens and walnuts and giblet gravy. In rememberance of Thanksgivings past.

I miss my grandparents dearly at this time of year. They used to make Waldorf Salad and Oyster Dressing (stuffing) every holiday. My husband's family is totally against me bringing either of those for the holidays! I think I'm going to make some myself this year.

Thanksgiving is not the same without Yams. I love yams. Yams remind me of good warmth feeling when you get when you hug your mom. I just love Yams. They are the best thankgiving food besides turkey.
