I had a bad run in with Wal Mart a few years back and they told me that I needed to keep my recipt because they "deleted" their sales files from their computer ever so often. That's why I would like to know if i need my recipt to rotate my tires or do anything tire related at Wal Mart.

You need the receipt to prove you bought the tires there

I used to work for Wal Mart in Forney, TX. They used to ask everyone to make sure they kept the receipt in case somthing happened to the records kept in the computers. The best thing I can tell you is to call and talk to the store manager for the location you bought the tires from and ask if you are still on record. Explain to him your situation. Most people don't know until they work at a Wal Mart that the motto of the company is the customer is always first. They are tought to do whatever they can to try to go out of there way to make that customer happy so they will go tell their friends and such about what a good company they are. Word of mouth is one of the biggest advertising propagandas that they use and one of the cheapest. If the manager doesn't help you turn him into the corporate office in Arkansas believe me they will want to know that one of their managers did not put the customer needs first.

OMG!!! 8TM you and I are in the same brain, I was thinking precisely that same exact thing when i was in wal-mart last week. I saw Santas and crap, and not a thanksgiving thing in sight! Not even Halloween yet! I was like, WTF? Did I miss something? Is it November already? And Wal-Mart itself? Satan, in every sense of the imagination. Has anyone else noticed that they have literally fifty check out stations, and NOBODY on them? The most I have ever seen out of fifty was 20, during Christmas! Like, two days before Christmas, there were twenty registers open! Lines so long you couldn't move! Right after New years, I believe they put out Valentines day crap, and right before Valentines day they do Easter and St. Patty's. It SUCKS! STUPID WALMART!

You should always save your reciept. Especially if it is Car related. Basically depending on the WalMart Associate you go to they want a reciept, it's easier, However, they should have everything about your car on file regardless., The associate will have to do a little bit more work and look at the tires to see if they were bought there. and that is it. Just argue if needed.

My turn for a question. Why on earth would you go to Wal-Mart for that?Just being told you need a reciept to rotate the tires should tell you something. They should recognize their crappy "seconds"
tires that they carry.
Buy a roller jack & stands & rotate them yourself. It's really not that hard and could save you some money in the long run.

Do you want them done for free? If you don't, you just go in and tell them that you want to rotate the tires. They will ask you some questions and then do it.

If it is free, absolutely! Always, always, keep receipts if there is even a slight possibility you may need it for a service/part in the future.

Why on earth would you let those monkeys touch your car?

They'll put your lug nuts on with an impact wrench, which stretches the studs, causing them to break down the road and possibly warping your rotors.
