Yea...after I watch Naruto I feel like somethings missing...like a part of my heart has been stolen away by Masashi Kishimoto's genius work of Anime. Expecially if Itachi no Dano is in that episode. I feel so plain after that...like I truly belong with the characters...it makes me sad...
But I recomend Samurai 7 or Naruto.

I get sad after i realise everything in animes can't happen, not everyone is that nice, that Anybody can just walk up to you and you instantly made a friend. No, But thats just a feeling of grief that you don't have anything but that anime and the relation between the anime characters, atleast thats the way I feel. If you just want something to cover up the emptyness you feel then watch Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Its a really good anime, its a harem. I think its got a great story, Its R rated so if your not of a mature mind or 18+ please do not watch it, nothing much worse than High school of the dead. Its got 2 seasons, more to come i think 15 or 16 episodes so it should entertain you for a while. WARNING you may feel perverted at some points in it... Its about a transfer student can't make friends so he meets a girl with the same issue, they start a club called the neighbours club and eventually more people come too join as you can tell from the cover of the light novels, as the story progresses you start to devolop a certain liking to certain characters of the anime. Its funny and romantic in away its catagorized under romantic comedy and harem, i love watching like i said but do not watch it if you don't like harems. I say to you to give it a chance i didn't really like it at first but im on season two episode 6 so im pretty drawn into it. i hope you will be too Hope this helps!

me too!!!! i get that empty feeling after watching anything, really.. i suggesst ouran high school host club. not very deep, quite gender confused, has some, erm, interesting characters, and i think its hilarious.
"In this screwball romantic comedy, a poor girl at a rich kids' school ends up working for the school's swankiest club—and gets mistaken for a boy!
One day, Haruhi, a scholarship student at exclusive Ouran High School, breaks an $80,000 vase that belongs to the "Host Club," a mysterious campus group consisting of six super-rich (and gorgeous) guys. To pay back the damages, she is forced to work for the club, and it's there that she discovers just how wealthy the boys are and how different they are from everybody else. "<= from ouran.krysyuy.net/
*** note:kocaine, this is not hentai.

there are lots of different animes that are really good. I like InuYasha. Although the anime has ended, the manga is still going. Most animes end early, but the mangas have a different plot and last longer.
I don't really know what to recommend, but if you check out Viz, you can pick up different genres that it pulishes and find the manga/anime that's right for you.

if you want an anime to lift your heart Start the
Full Metal Panic series (3 seasons) : totally hilarious
If you like the sad stories, try
Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien: only 14 episodes but it felt like it left a hole in my heart or something (romance)

http://www.anime-planet.com/animerec/437.html That site gives good recommendations for similar anime.
Personally, I would recommend Naruto and Bleach if you haven't already seen them. Or for shoujo, Ouran Koukou Host Club & Fruits Basket are both pretty good.
Hope this helped. :]
