The women were upset, because they were all soaking wet from having to tread water to get to land. "Could I be wearing any more clothes?" cried out Matilda. She was overweight and it was hard for her to walk with her clothes so heavy from being soaked. "What are we gonna do? What are we gonna DO?" sobbed Ebenezer. He was upset because, being the captain, it was his fault that they crashed into the rock in the first place. (He drank a little too much, you see.) Soon, they came upon some Indians, and surprisingly, they didn't seem savage at all. They were getting ready to have a feast, and had a turkey roasting on a spit. Elvira remarked, "I don't think I can eat so beautiful a fowl as this." The chief of the tribe said, "Hey, don't do the crime if you can't do the time." The chief thought she was quite a handsome woman. He invited her into his teepee for some privacy. They sat down on the dirt floor that was covered with animal hides. "Oh, my, the floor is so cold!" cried Elvira. "The cushions are the essence of the chair", replied the chief. They took the wishbone from the turkey and made their wishes. The chief said with a grin, "Everything you need to know is in that first kiss." He leaned closer, and Elvira put up her hand to stop him. "No thank you, Chiefie, but we will always be friends." She let him know that she was not that kind of girl.
