This simply shows that we each have our things. I think it depends more on how we are raised. Some people hunt, some dance, some take photographs, some run, I think you get the point. My girlfriend loves art while I take it or leave it. I am much more into music than is she. I hope this answers your question.

It's all a matter of taste and upbringing; some people were never brought up with exposure to museums and what not (like me), so we never really bothered after that. For others, it could be a learned trait; an ex-boyfriend might have worshipped Picasso or Matisse and was just an art nut...to distance one's self away from the memory of him, they'll hate art just for that fact. Art may make one person feel good- for another, it may be music that makes them feel good.

It's a left brain/right brain thing, combined with a strong tendency towards creativity and esthetics.
