I have been on the Depo shot since July 2005, have no periods, slight weight gain, nipples sore. I go to bathroom often, toss and turn at night. I read what someone sent me and it may be from the depo. Either way, I have been wanting to switch from the shot to the pill. I just took it recently so my window is not open again til Feb. 2007. Has anyone switched from Depo to the pill before? Do you have to wait til your body cleans itself out(a period) a month...then start pill which takes a month to take its effect(use other protection until then). I should have done it sooner, but made the mistake by not switching yet. By the way, I recently found out a have a fairly large ovarian cyst. I think it may be related. I believe when I do make the switch...I'll be better off for it. Thanks for any help someone has to offer!

I were given the dep. shot and that i love it because i dont want to be reminded to take a pill, i dont want to apply a condom with my boyfriend yet i counsel that you do, it very last 3 months, it makes your sessions lighter, a lot less cramping the cons are the first month you should bleed longer than established, it will enhance your urge for nutrition you are able to choose now to not eat, take supplementations, the shot is painful dont get it on your hip that hurts. in the adventure that your fortunate you should in no way get your era.

i think its better for you to have your period after the efficacy of the shot. but it may take months for others to have their period after the shot.
take the 1st pill of you pill pack on the first day of your period. or if you want start on the first sunday after the first day of your period (or if you sart your period at sunday start it then)

or take the first pill on the day you are supposed to have your next shot for continous protection.

i also think its better to consult with your doctor about this because you said that you found out about the cyst, i don't know if you can take the pill with minimum side effects...

Please trust me and go to the pill. It is much better on your body and that cyst. They give you the pill to make cyst go away. I've been through it. It works. I was on depo, too. You don't realize what it does to your body until it is out of your system.(Depo) Good luck!
